We defeated her and the achievement popped. That fight throws people around a bit, but was otherwise not a huge trial. Somehow we managed it, picked up at the next portal, and made it to the final boss, Cyanigosa. Then there was a scramble to ress people before the portal cycle started up again because we had forgotten to get a soul stone setup. It took me a bit to figure out that I needed to drag him over to his summoned helpers as they were throwing out a lot of AOE that was hitting the whole party.īecause I was late on the update we ended up losing Fergorin, Bjorid, and Beanpole in the fight, though we still managed to bag Zumat. I think we have had him before in normal mode, but in heroic he definitely steps things up a notch. We got back into the portal routine and then the second boss to come up was Zuramat the Obliterator. Fire resist was put up on the pally aura rotation and we stuck it to him pretty quickly. The first boss that came up was Lavanthor, the big, two headed, lava hound, who seems to be our starting boss more often than not. The routine in the same on heroic as normal, just with stepped up bosses, as I understand it. We got ourselves setup, told the NPC to leave everything to us, and waited for the portals to start opening up. Plus, the heroic instance quest giver, who is standing on a platform within line of sight of the instance had, as his current quest, Violet Hold (bring me the head of Cyanigosa or some such), it seemed like the stars were aligned and we should go in. It has been deemed the easiest of such instances, or at least the speediest, and we were all in the neighborhood. Since we were all standing around Dalaran, I suggest that Violet Hold might be our next heroic instance target. Beanpole had returned from a couple of weeks in Europe so we were all able to get back together in Wrath Classic once more to test ourselves against various heroic instances.Īfter a bit of time spent hearing about where he stayed and the occasional foibles of foreign travel and the harsh reality of the return to work, we eventually wound down to the point of what we were actually going to do in the game.
